The New Mexico Tacotorium gets a face lift
PORTALES, NM — XPRT Creative and fast food chain Taco Box announced the launch of a new website at www.tacobox.com this week. According to Owner Tom Martin, Taco Box needed to have a better looking, cleaner website. “I like that it is nice looking and easy to read and navigate,” Martin said when asked what he thought about his new site.
Martin chose XPRT Creative for his project because of the local representative in the area, the strong client references and the reasonable price. “Working with XPRT Creative was a pleasurable experience. All members of the team were professional and understanding. Since I know absolutely nothing about building a web site, they led me by the hand.” Martin said. “When changes were to be made (usually because I changed my mind), they were handled promptly.”
Overall, Martin is pleased with the outcome of this project, though the project was not without issue. “The design part of the project went really smoothly, but we had some trouble when we were attempting to transfer the tacobox domain from Network Solutions,” XPRT’s Project Manager Dave Ortega said. “There were so many hoops that Network Solutions required Tom to jump through for them to let go of his domain, that part was pretty frustrating,” he added.
According to XPRT Creative’s Jennifer Poyer, there is a huge client benefit to hosting a site with XPRT Creative as part of the design process. “It makes things so much easier for us and our clients when we can host their site and keep their domain registered with our company. We really try to provide the ‘total package’ of web design and maintenance, and it’s hard to do that when you don’t have control over the back end,” Poyer said.
“We highly encourage our clients to host with us to save themselves headaches and long term problems with the ISP. When we’re hosting, we’re responsible for all that, and we KNOW we’re providing awesome service to our clients because we’re the ones taking care of everything.” Poyer added.
Martin was complimentary of XPRT Creative’s customer service. “Network Solutions did not make it easy to transfer our domain name but Jennifer was very helpful in leading me through the transfer. Without her guidance, it never would have occurred.” Martin said.
